Promising no energy systems to gate your play, Traffic Rider happily lets you race forever without the need to pay or wait. Trucks and cars all look great – happily indicating when the intend to change lane - while every environment looks stunning, with different scenery and lighting conditions smoothly zipping past. The bike models are crisp, the world map clear and bright, but it is the on road action that really impresses. Traffic Racer presentation is fantastically polished. This is the one wrinkle that makes this more involved than Tomy Turnin’ Turbo Dashboard. As with all such games, the need for a break escapes me, but occasionally it would probably benefit me to slow down to hit those high scores.Īs the action speeds up, things become progressively harder, forcing you to perform near misses with traffic to gain extra seconds. In fact, I have gone from level 3 to level 7, and then onward thanks to playing Endless One-way.To balance your speed, buttons on either side of the screen control your acceleration and break. That’s often how I get the money to buy the bigger bikes. However, this is NOT a pay-to-win thanks to Endless one-way mode. The best bikes so far are the simple scooter you first get (it’s easy to control) the motorbike that costs around $10,000, and I’m still trying to find the other good ones. Not to mention, some of the fastest bikes are also the crappiest bikes because even though they can have a lot of handling, it’s often not enough to, like say, swerve in and out of traffic.

I love how challenging the game is, but it’s almost too challenging in campaign mode. Campaign is extremely difficult- the only way to beat some of the levels is to somehow get your bike exactly on the double yellow lines, and just ride through and score points passing cars, but even that is limited. Great game, limitless bike combinations, BUT. Grind Endless One-way and you’ll level up. Or just because you want to play it (which the game definitely makes you want to do). All in all: this game is great and if you love motorcycles like I do, it’s a great game to have to kill the time. It makes it easy enough to play the game without hoarding all your money to buy better stuff while also still being challenging enough (shoot for the bonus gold for a challenge) to make me want to keep playing it for hours. They have made the bike a little less powerful, but not so much that it’s a waste to buy. The bike used to be incredibly overpowered to the point the game was too easy and not as much fun. The game itself is manageable if you’re strictly a free-to-play player, but I would highly recommend investing the $10 into the bike. I invested ~$10 to buy the NJ350 and it was definitely worth it. I won’t lie: the beginning of the game is a little tedious with the scooter as a starter. The game design and graphics are great, and it keeps me entertained for hours.
